The Earth Lost its Sweetheart Today
Anxiety is off the chart today.
They’ve come to steal our art today.
Aleppo’s children are crying today.
Their mothers must try to depart today.
They want to lock out the Muslims today.
Tear husband and wife apart today.
A man tires of his life today.
He leans on a broken cart today.
We swim in the tears of tomorrow today.
Drown in a stranger’s heart today.
The sun is down on its knees today.
The morning’s afraid to start today.
